In commemoration of the recently concluded Global Money Week, LAPO Microfinance Bank took proactive steps to engage external stakeholders through an insightful webinar focused on empowering individuals to protect their money and secure their future. The theme for this year's Global Money Week, "Protect Your Money, Secure Your Future," resonated strongly with the bank's commitment to financial education and empowerment.
The engaging webinar, which garnered over 78 attendees, was expertly moderated by Dorcas Thorpe, the Head of Corporate Planning at LAPO Microfinance Bank. The distinguished panel of speakers included Uche Uzoebo, Chief Distribution and Client Engagement Officer of SANEF (represented by Ihechukwu Ibeji), and Weyinmi Eribo, Director-General of Women Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture. These esteemed speakers shared invaluable insights on practical strategies to safeguard finances and build a secure financial future.
Uche Uzoebo's representative, Ihechukwu Ibeji, provided a comprehensive overview of effective money protection measures, drawing from SANEF's expertise in financial services. Weyinmi Eribo, the DG of Women Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, highlighted the importance of financial literacy and empowerment, especially for women in business.
In addition to the external webinar, LAPO Microfinance Bank also organized an internal seminar for its staff members. The seminar, led by Oluremi Akande, the Director of Communications at LAPO MfB, featured a panel of senior management staff who delved into the intricacies of financial security and future planning. This internal initiative aimed to equip staff with the knowledge and tools necessary to make informed financial decisions and secure their own futures.
