Dr. EHIGIAMUSOE Godwin Eseiwi
Dr. Ehigiamusoe Godwin Eseiwi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the University of Benin (1981); Diploma in Cooperative Credit and Savings from the Federal Cooperative College, Ibadan (1987); Master’s degree in Development Studies from the University of Benin (1985) and a Doctorate degree in Policy and Development Studies. He has attended several capacities enhancing courses including the Financial Institutions Programme for Enterprise Development Management (FIPED) of the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and the Chief Executive Programme of the Lagos Business School.
He is the founder of LAPO NGO the precursor to LAPO Microfinance Bank Limited. Dr. Ehigiamusoe is an acknowledged microfinance practitioner who began his career as a rural cooperative officer. He plays a leading role in the development of microfinance in Nigeria and Sierra Leone.
He has consulted for a number of local and international microfinance initiatives including the formulation of the Nigerian Microfinance Policy and Regulatory Framework.
Dr. Ehigiamusoe won the model Entrepreneur Award – Nigeria in 2008 and the Schwab Foundation’s Outstanding Social Entrepreneur for Africa Award in 2010. He is a member of the African Advisory Council of Grameen Foundation, USA.
He was appointed as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Director of the LAPO Microfinance Bank on 21st June 2010.
Mrs. IKPONMWOSA Iranmwinran Cynthia
Cynthia Iranmwinran Ikponmwosa is a consummate business professional with over eighteen years of experience in Business Management, Programme Management, Corporate Governance, Legal and Regulatory Compliance.
Prior to her appointment as MD-Designate of LAPO Microfinance Bank Limited (subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria), she was Executive Director, Corporate Services of the bank with responsibility for people, facility and procurement management. She joined Lift Above Poverty Organization (LAPO NGO), the precursor of LAPO Microfinance Bank Limited, in 2001 as a Senior Programme Officer. She anchored the corporate transformation process of Lift Above Poverty Organisation (LAPO) from an NGO to a regulated entity - LAPO Microfinance Bank Limited from 2008 – 2010.
Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the Ambrose Alli University (previously known as Edo State University) and a Master of Laws in Corporate Governance and Law from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administration (ICSA) London; a Certified Microfinance Banker (MCIB) of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria; and a member of the Compliance Institute, Nigeria. She has attended several management programmes in leading educational institutions including the Advanced Management Program of the Lagos Business School and the Chief Executive Programme (Global Edition) at the IESE Business School, Spain.
Ms. NWACHUKWU Nkemdilim Josephine
Ms. Nwachukwu Nkemdilim Josephine holds a Higher National Diploma in Accounting from Auchi Polytechnic (1997); a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance from the University of Port-Harcourt (2001) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Benin (2008). She’s has attended several international trainings including Microfinance Training in Naropa University, Boulder, Colorado, USA.
She is a renowned microfinance banker with over seventeen years wealth of experience in financial management, auditing and accounting. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
She joined LAPO NGO in April, 1997 and rose through various ranks to become a Director, a position she held until her appointment as Executive Director in December, 2014.
Ms. Nwachukwu is currently the Head, Corporate Planning & Strategy Division of the Bank.
Mrs OSAZUWA-OJO Faith
Mrs Osazuwa–Ojo Faith holds a Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) from the College of Education, Ekiadolor (1996); a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Benin (2005); Barrister at Law from the Nigerian Law School (2006). She has attended several international trainings including the Programme for Leadership Development Training by Harvard Business School.
She has over twenty years of experience in the microfinance sector with a rich pedigree in risk management. She is an astute lawyer and a certified microfinance practitioner.
She joined LAPO NGO in February, 1997 and rose through various ranks to become a Director, a position she held until her appointment as Executive Director in December, 2014.
Mrs. Osazuwa–Ojo currently the Head, Operations Division of the Microfinance Bank.
Mr. OSADEBAMWEN Elijah
Mr. Elijah Osadebamwen holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration and Management from Auchi Polytechnic (1994) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Imo State University (2007). He has attended several national and international trainings including the programmes for General Management Training by Harvard Business School; Advanced Management Training by INSEAD Business School and Chief Executive Training by IESE Business School.
He has over eighteen years’ experience in the microfinance sector with a rich pedigree in Business administration. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
He joined LAPO NGO the precursor of LAPO Microfinance Bank Limited in August, 2000 and rose through various ranks to become a Director, a position he held until his appointment as Executive Director in July, 2019. He is currently the Head, Business Support Division of the Microfinance Bank.
Mrs. BAKO Gloria
Mrs. Gloria Bako holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Uyo (1994) and a Master’s degree from the University of Benin (2000). She has attended several national and international training including the Back to Boulder by Boulder Institute of Microfinance, Washington DC, USA and Risk Governance and Basel Accords organized by A. Adedipe Associates Limited and CRC Credit Bureau Limited, held in Dubai.
She has over twenty years’ experience in the microfinance sector with a rich pedigree in Business management. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
She joined the Bank in November, 1996 and rose through various ranks to become a General Manager.
Mrs. Gloria Bako is head, Risk Management of the Bank.
Mrs. IDEHEN Peggy
Mrs. Peggy Idehen is a Corporate Governance expert, experienced Lawyer, with requisite skills in Regulatory Compliance. She has over 12 years’ work experience predominantly in the Microfinance sector. She completed her Master’s (M.Sc.) degree in Corporate Governance and Leadership with a distinction from the University of Northampton, United Kingdom. She equally holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) degree from Ambrose Alli University, Edo State and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2007.
She is a certified member of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators United Kingdom, Nigerian Bar Association, as well as the International Bar Association. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management, Society for Corporate Governance, and Institute of Compliance Nigeria. She has attended several management programmes in leading institutions including Lagos Business School, Nigeria.
She joined LAPO Microfinance Bank Limited in October, 2007 and served in different capacities before assuming the office of the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser in August 2019.
