Osayande Ede, FCA -
A Capital Market Specialist with over 30 years’ cognate experience in Banking and Finance. Chief Ede holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Lagos; he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an alumnus of several international training institutions. He is currently the Chairman, Board of Directors of LAPO Microfinance Bank.
Godwin Ehigiamusoe PhD, -
He is an acknowledged Microfinance practitioner who began his involvement in microfinance and microenterprise development as a rural Co-operative Officer before he founded LAPO (Lift Above Poverty Organization), a successful pro-poor microfinance institution with operations in Nigeria and Sierra Leone. He holds a Doctorate degree in Policy and Development Studies with emphasis on Microfinance Policy and Regulatory Frameworks. He has authored Understanding NGOs (1998); Poverty and Microfinance in Nigeria (2000); Issues in Microfinance: Enhancing Financial Inclusion (2011). He is currently the Managing Director, LAPO Microfinance Bank.
She has a successful career spanning over thirty years at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and retired as Director of Human Resource. She holds a Masters Degree in Economics and Statistics from the Moscow Institute of Economics and Statistics. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. She is currently the Chairman of Board of Directors of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc (GTBank) and she has also served on the Boards of several public institutions including the National Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) and Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC). She chairs the Environment, Social and Governance Committee in LAPO Microfinance Bank.
A renowned Microfinance Practitioner and was for many years the CEO of PADME, a very successful microfinance institution in the Republic of Benin. He holds a Masters Degree (MBA) in Finance and Project Management and another Masters degree in Economics and Development. He was the first Chair, Board of Directors, African Microfinance Network (AFMIN) and member of Women's World Banking, New York. He chairs LAPO Microfinance Bank's Credit and Risk Management Committee.
HANNATU AHMED YARO
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Language (1986) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Master of Art (M.A) degree in Gender and Development (1997) and Post Graduate Certificate in Information Technology for Development (1997) from the University of East Anglia, UK. She is a renowned consultant, social worker and researcher with over twenty (20) years’ experience in supporting Women with Microcredit and Financial empowerment, Social protection, Education and Community development and management. She has worked with Development Exchange Centre (DEC), a Microfinance institution as staff and Chairman of the Board of Directors. She has also worked with Department For International Development (DFID), Canadian International Development Agency/Canadian University Services Overseas (CIDA/CUSO), European Union (EU), and United Nations (UN). She is currently an independent Consultant in Social Protection, Gender and Rural Development.
She has over 18 years of experience spanning Internal control, Treasury and Strategic Management. She is a certified microfinance practitioner and holds a Masters Degree from University of Benin. She is an Executive Director and currently heads the Corporate Planning and Strategy Department.
